Camp in Colorado
Camp Chief Ouray, Colorado
This camp, which has been in operation for over 100 years, is committed to developing five core values in its campers: Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Faith for daily living. Campers will explore and grow through a strong tradition of quality programming and fun -- and make life-long friends. Located on 5,100 acres in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, their view every morning is of the snow-covered Continental Divide rising 12,000 feet above sea level.
Camp Chief Ouray is at 8,750 feet above sea level and enjoys the best of what the Rocky Mountains have to offer: great views, crisp clean air, mountain streams, meadows, wildlife and spectacular 75 degree summer days. On the grounds of Snow Mountain Ranch/YMCA of the Rockies they’re on 5100 acres of fields and streams surrounded by majestic mountains they are surrounded by nature’s playground.
