The Phoenix Zoo comes alive

ZooLights at the Phoenix Zoo
ZooLights begins Nov. 24, 2011 and runs through Jan. 8, 2012. Nightly from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., the Phoenix Zoo becomes a wonderland of lights. Presented by SRP and powered by EarthWise Energy, Phoenix ZooLights features 3.5 million lights and more than 600 light sculptures that surround guests as they experience the zoo in a whole new way. Light sculptures in the shapes of animals nestle in the trees, bushes, and from every angle you can imagine.
The Music in Motion dancing tree show will have every member of your family frozen in awe, and don't miss the 24 foot lighted sphere floating on the lake. And though there might not be snow in Phoenix, the zoo presents the Polar Slide, a 160 foot long snow tube ride for riders four and older ($3).
In addition to enjoying the festival of lights surrounding them, guests can warm up with hot chocolate, enjoy camel and carousel rides, take in the Stingray Bay exhibit and more.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of this magical event and if you and your family have yet to go, make this the year that Phoenix ZooLights becomes one of your favorite holiday traditions.
